Guests and their partners were treated to some of the most luxurious hotels in the world, enjoyed evenings of entertainment and fine dining, relaxed with spa treatments and winery tours, along with playing golf at the majestic Pevero Golf Club.

In addition to the event itself, The Costa Smeralda Invitational raised more than €135,000 for the official charities Autism Rocks and UNICEF road to awareness.

Our Singing Waiters proved to be the ultimat hit for this star studded affair.

Held at the Beautiful award winning English High Clandon Estate Vineyard, we approached  our friends from The Jolly Hog to provide a sumptuous feast to sit alongside Wombat our biggest horse box bar with a summery menu of Gins, Aperol, Prosecco & ice cold beers. The entertainment was supplied by our wonderful Gypsy Kings style Los Amigos Band.

The Kia Oval, Surrey Cricket & Jolly Hog came to Greenhill Events as they were looking to create a food and drinks village within by the Alec Stewart Gate on T20 Blast match days England’s ODI and Test matches. Partnering with us to provide a bar solution outside of the normal beer offering and entertainment to amaze and engage.

Solution

Through consultation with several stakeholders we provided one of our horse box trailers in the area serving a refined, elegant & summery offering of a selection of gins, spirits, aperol spritz, champagne & Rose.

Alongside the bar we provided singers, DJ & musicians to perform as patrons arrive, during the intervals and post match.

Our success would be gauged in three areas:

• Anecdotal evidence from season ticket holders, staff & stakeholders on their outstanding match day experience.
• Real time increase in dwell time.
• Increased revenue in all areas.

Our ROI is in these three areas

• Increase dwell time.
• Enhance the customer experience.
• Increase match day revenue.

Feedback

• The Food village food sales at Alec Stewart Gate have gone up 18% from the previous season. The alcohol sales have gone up approx 25% in that area too. 
• Although dwell time hasn’t been analysed, people are staying longer in the Food Village as they now have some entertainment. 
• Customers are much happier to queue for their pint or burger if they’ve got entertainment. We’ve seen customers singing into the mic whilst queuing for food and drinks.

Additional Anecdotal evidence:

• Lots of people taking videos of the singers, which has become a branding opportunity for us.
• Creating surprise moments and great social media content for the club.
• The crowds surrounding your performers during the ODI were huge. It was like going to a gig!

The International Cotton Association would like suggestions for entertainment for their gala dinner to celebrate their 175^th anniversary. It should reference the present and future work of the organisation, and their international presence, ethical approach and global success.

Our Thoughts

Taking our inspiration from the phenomenal opening ceremony of London’s 2012 Olympic Games, we would incorporate international acts from India, China, Pakistan, America, Brazil and the U.K. This would involve dance, music, drama and audio and visual effects to communicate the strong ethical message of the association and its future success.

The Performance An International Celebration!

Utilising the audio and visual facilities in the hall, we would open with a short video starring the

original President of the Association, Mr. George Holt.

Working with over 70 actor, singers, dancers and musicians, we wrote a historical piece of theatre which brought to life the history of the organisation from its humble beginnings in Liverpool alongside the cotton mills of the North West and Lancashire, whilst navigating through the American Depression, two world wars and into the modern technological International world.

The theatrical piece was supported by a writer, director, musical director, stage manager, wig mistress and wardrobe team to deliver this wonderful project.

We’re getting nothing but positive feedback from our guests – they all say it’s the best event they have ever been to!
